Summer is over - autumn is here, and we've noticed that the buzz about skiing is very definitely picking up.
Sorry the blog has been a little less than prolific during August - as well as enjoying the balmy summer, we've been slaving over hot computers, updating and upgrading Chalets Direct, and oiling the cogs behind the machine. There's still a few things in the pipeline - it's nerdy, techy stuff going on, so I'm not going to bore you with it.
But now that the days are cooler, the kids are back at school, we know that winter is coming and so is the ski season! Resorts are starting their offensive for their share of winter 2009/10. Ischgl has announced Katy Perry as the headliner for their opening bash, Alpe d'Huez are offering cheaper day passes in January, Zell am See and Kaprun have announced a load of early season events to appeal to all ages, and here at home the annual round of ski shows will soon be kicking off.
So all you ski and board lovers, keep watching this space - winter is on it's way!
